The B/R (Bleacher Report) Sports Add-on is included on us for a limited time with any Max subscription. With the B/R Sports Add-on, you can watch select live events, including MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA Men's March Madness, and U.S. Soccer on Max.

In Max, choose B/R Sports at the top of the screen. Here you'll find live games, upcoming games, and highlights from recent games. If you don't find B/R Sports, try updating your Max app.

B/R Sports on Max are select games that air on TBS, TNT, and truTV.

What is B/R Sports?

The Bleacher Report (B/R) Sports Add-on is the place for premium sports content, including more than 300 live events per year. B/R Sports is a new add-on available to all Max subscribers on us through February 29, 2024.

In addition to live sports, the B/R Sports Add-on includes pre- and post-game studio programming, multi-sport on-demand content, special features, and live series from Bleacher Report (e.g. live coverage of the NFL Draft, popular vodcasts and the Creator League).

After the promotional period ends on February 29, 2024, you can add the B/R Sports Add-on starting at $9.99/mo (when billed through us). Base subscription will be required. Pricing and availability of the B/R Sports Add-on after the promotional period varies by subscription provider.

What live sports can I watch?

In Max, choose B/R Sports (top of screen). Here you'll find live and upcoming games.

With the B/R Sports Add-on, you can stream the following live sports through Spring 2024 (more than 300 live games each year):

  • 2023 MLB Postseason coverage of the National League Division Series (starting on October 7) and the National League Championship series
  • More than 60 live NHL regular season games, including an Opening Week doubleheader on October 11 (Chicago Blackhawks vs Boston Bruins and Los Angeles Kings vs Colorado Avalanche)
  • Live coverage of NBA Opening Night on October 24 (Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors), part of a 65-game schedule during the 2023-24 season
  • Inaugural 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament starting with a doubleheader on November 14, the first of 3 weeks of Group Play competition
  • 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic on January 1, 2024 (Seattle Kraken vs Vegas Golden Knights)
  • 2024 NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the NBA All-Star Game (February 16-18, 2024)
  • Every 2024 NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship game airing on TBS, TNT, and truTV, including the Men's Final Four and National Championship starting in March 2024
  • 2024 MLB regular season coverage starting in April 2024, featuring a weekly Tuesday Night game throughout the season
  • 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs starting in April 2024, including coverage of one of the Conference Finals
  • 2024 NBA Playoffs starting in April 2024, including coverage of the 2024 NBA Western Conference Finals
  • English-language live coverage of U.S. Men's National Soccer Team and U.S. Women's National Soccer Team matches, including the 2024 SheBelieves Cup
  • Upcoming installments of The Match, a premier live golf event

Note  At this time, NBA games are not available in American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. MLB post-season games are not available in American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Mariana Islands.

How do I know what games will be on Max?

In Max, choose B/R Sports (top of screen). Here you'll find live and upcoming games. You can also find games scheduled for the next 2 weeks at our B/R Sports schedule.

Do I have to pay more for live sports?

The B/R Sports Add-on is available to all Max subscribers on us for a limited time! This means that Max subscribers can watch select live sports through February 29, 2024.

After the promotional period ends on February 29, 2024, you can add the B/R Sports Add-on starting at $9.99/month (when billed through us). Base subscription will be required. Pricing and availability of the B/R Sports Add-on after the promotional period will vary by subscription provider.

Are there blackout restrictions?

Yes. Depending on your location, you won't be able to stream some live games due to league blackout policies. For more info, go to Max blackout restrictions.

How do I watch live sports?

In Max, choose B/R Sports (top of the screen) and then choose the game you want to watch. Choose Go Live to start watching the game in progress or arrow pointing backward Watch from Start to start watching at the beginning.

  • Share location: If you're watching on your phone or tablet, you'll need to share your location with Max. To do this, choose a live game and then share your location when prompted. For more info, go to Max blackout restrictions.
  • Player controls: When watching a live event you can pause, fast forward, rewind, and jump to what's happening live (Go Live button). For more info, go to Max player controls.
    Note  At this time, playback controls are unavailable on Chromecast during live events.
  • Devices: B/R Live Sports can be streamed on any supported device. Depending on your device, you can watch live sports in up to HD 1080p with SDR and Dolby Atmos audio. You can also use Chromecast, AirPlay, or an HDMI cable to watch live sports on your TV.
  • Replays: Right now, replays of live events are not available on Max.
  • Captions: To turn closed captions on or off, choose the Audio and Subtitles icon speech bubble in the video player. Closed captions for live sports are available in English and are slightly delayed. To find out how to change the caption styling (e.g. font and size), go to Subtitles, captions, and audio.
  • Ads: Live sports have the same commercials that air during the TV broadcast of the event on TBS, TNT, or truTV.
Can I also watch Bleacher Report content using my Max account?

With the B/R Sports Add-on from Max, you can also watch video coverage on the Bleacher Report app or website. To do this, sign in to Bleacher Report with your Max account credentials. Here's how:

  1. Open the B/R app on your phone or tablet, or go to bleacherreport.com on your computer.
  2. Start watching a live event.
  3. When prompted, choose Sign in to TV Provider.
  4. Choose View All Providers.
  5. Scroll down and choose Max.
  6. Sign in with your Max email and password and then choose Done.
Will my provider offer the B/R Sports Add-on?

The B/R Sports Add-on is available to all Max subscribers on us through February 29, 2024. Starting on March 1, 2024, you may be able to add the B/R Sports Add-on for an additional charge. Base subscription will be required. Pricing and availability of the B/R Sports Add-on after the promotional period will vary by subscription provider.
